Biography

My name is Clement. I come from a very pathetic country with maybe the greediest politicians in the world. One of the most populated but also one of the most debtful country. Too many people who like to talk but do nothing. OK, OK. Let's write 'bout myself. I am the first among three boys that my parents have. I think they really wanted a daughter, but hey, the Y chromosome seems to be stronger in my family

.

I really like music, especially jazz. I play a little bit piano, keyboard, and also a little bit guitar. I love to hear Louis Armstrong, especially when he sang together with Ella Fitzgerald (Whew!). My affection for jazz was first induced by a friend of mine who really liked to hear David Benoit.

I entered the Tunas Karya Kindergarden, studied and played there for a year and then moved to Karunia Kindergarden. I entered Karunia Elementary School at 6 and a half, moved to IInd Christian Junior High School, and finally attended high school in the IIIrd Christian High School. I graduated from in 1997 and entered the Bogor Institute of Agriculture. I passed all of my levels of study without failing any year. Too proud? Maybe, a little.

Okay, I'll be more proud now. I've won several science competitions during high school and college. In high school I (in a team) won the second place in the Food Science Competition held by my Department now (that made me eligible to apply for the program). I (in a team, too) also won the second place in the Physics Laboratory Practice held by KPS Jakarta. In February 2000 my friends and I won the third place in the National Competition of Innovative and Productive Products. It was a research competition held by the Department of National Education. The title of our research was "Production of Processed Rice for Diabetes Mellitus Patients". Then in September 2000 Martha and I attended the Competition of Science Essay Writing held by the Bogor Institute of Agriculture. The title of the essay was "Production of High Fructose Syrup from Whey Waste Product by Immobilized Enzymes". We only reached the 6th place.

I have graduated from IPB with good results. My next goal is to continue my study in Japan. I have been accepted as a Master Course student at the Osaka University, Japan for the International Biotechnology Program. I wish to enter the program by the Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho). Now I am waiting for the answer from Japanese Government about the scholarship I was applying. I think that's all for now. Anyway, please send me your opinion about this homepage. Thank's.
